ในเรื่องของตำแหน่งโฆษกประจำสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรี มีชื่อหลายคนที่ปรากฏขึ้น ได้แก่ นายดนุพร ปุณณกันต์ สส.บัญชีรายชื่อ และ รองเลขาธิการพรรคเพื่อไทย นายจิรายุ ห่วงทรัพย์ อดีต สส.กทม. และ นายธีรัตถ์ รัตนเสวี อดีตโฆษกประจำสำนักนายกฯ ในขณะที่ นายสัตวแพทย์ ชัย วัชรงค์ นักวิชาการด้านการเกษตร เป็นชื่อล่าสุดที่เป็นแคนดิเดตโฆษกประจำสำนักนายกฯ
นายสัตวแพทย์ชัย ได้ยอมรับในสัมภาษณ์ว่าในช่วงก่อนหน้านี้ เขาถูกเสนอตำแหน่งโฆษกประจำสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรีจริง แต่เนื่องจากเขาเคยอยู่ในทีมเศรษฐกิจของพรรคมาตั้งแต่ช่วงการหาเสียงเลือกตั้ง จึงมีโอกาสสนทนาและเจอคนในพรรครวมถึงนายกฯ แต่ในขณะนี้ยังไม่มีคำตัดสินใจอย่างชัดเจน อีกทั้งมีรายชื่อหลายรายที่พรรคเพื่อไทยกำลังพิจารณาเพื่อตำแหน่งโฆษกประจำสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรีอีกด้วยครับ
